How does the NFC Unique ID emulation app work?
NFC Unique ID emulation app is used for generating static Unique ID (UID) which can be used with Digital Logic hardware such as uFR Series readers. It does not depend on the phone’s option to generate static or dynamic UID, all you need is NFC function enabled. “
Use your phone as you would use your contactless ID card or tag “.
This app can broadcast generated static UID on NFC-enabled mobile devices using Androids HCE (Host Card Emulation) mode, NFC hardware communication, and APDU protocol. That enables interaction with Digital Logic NFC/RFID hardware and its integration in time and attendance, access control, and other compatible Digital Logic systems.
UID is displayed for users in-app in Hexadecimal and Decimal format.
An application-generated UID number is uniquely created for a device using ANDROID_ID or Google SignIn ID. That ID data is not used as is, but encrypted with SHA256 and XOR-ed to create an 8-byte HEX and then converted to a decimal number.
Identical in-app created UID will be recreated if the user uninstalls and installs the app again on the same device. It doesn’t even need to run in the background, you can close the app or turn off/restart the mobile device and it will still generate the same static UID. UID will be lost only after the device factory reset which changes the Android ID. To avoid that App also gives an option of saving or migrating generated UID. If a user performs migration, the same UID can be used on several NFC-enabled devices.
Information on Collection and Use of Users’ data
The application does not store any user personal data, it just displays the generated UID number.
Applications can optionally use Google Firebase services with a Google account login as a prerequisite to enable saving and/or migrating generated UID.
