µFR Online Flasher Firmware flashing software tool for µFR Nano Online µFR Online Flasher software has three important features: Firmware flashing This feature requires an internet connection. When the µFR Online NFC Reader is connected, software checks the device's firmware integrity and lists all the available firmware for the connected device. When the desired firmware is selected, the flasher tool downloads uniquely encrypted firmware which corresponds only with the micro-controller of the connected device. Firmware is decrypted inside the micro-controller and the upgrade process begins. Factory reset This feature resets the device to factory default settings. OEM Lock/Unlock OEM Unlock erases the device's firmware and allows users to write/install their own custom firmware. This feature was introduced with the release of µFCoder library version 5.0.12. All our µFR Series NFC readers now support reading data groups from NFC chips embedded in Machine Readable Travel Documents (MRTDs), including ePassports which comply with ICAO specifications. The implementation supports the Basic Access Control (short: BAC) mechanism for NFC chip access. USB to RS485 Interface Converter The USB-2-RS485 device is a USB to RS485 interface converter. It adds a standard 2-wire half-duplex RS485 bus interface to computers with a USB interface. This device is supported by all major operating systems: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and Android. A virtual COM port driver is included, that is, the RS485 interface can be accessed as a standard serial COM port e.g. using any terminal program like HyperTerminal (supplied with all versions of Microsoft Windows). Log mode adds the Event Log for storing card events when the device loses an internet connection. The event Log is automatically sent to the server once the connection is established again. Access Control mode adds whitelists, blacklists, and relay configuration options. This premium firmware version is compliant with a network NFC RFID reader/writer µFR Nano Online.
